Set up your BBS

From a board in a box to callers on it, in five steps.

  1. Flash it

    Put the software on the board from the web installer. About five minutes.

  2. Join your Wi-Fi

Going public

Forward port 6400 when you want callers from outside your own network, and not before the sysop password is yours. Call the board from anything with a telnet client first, and see it as your callers will.

From firmware 1.2.2 you may not have to open the router at all. The board can ask it to forward the port, which is worth trying before you go looking for your router's menu. Let the board ask your router.
